PT is currently looking to employ a Support Technician.The person must have experience in the field of electronic weighing and already be competent in the typical activities listed below.
The role would involve technical support for the sales and purchasing teams and customers – product selection, installation, problem solving, pre-sale recommendations and after Sales support and warranty resolution. With respect to assisting Purchasing, you could be sourcing product and obtaining pricing and delivery.
Job description.
The role would be located in Auckland New Zealand and primarily involve technical support for the Sales team, customers and factory, other duties could be forthcoming depending upon experience.Typical activities
- assist the Sales Team to select products appropriate for the customers requirements – load cells, instruments, accessories and mountings, etc.,
- assist customers and the Sales Team with correct application of the products – mounting, restraints, electrical connection, instrument configuration, communication protocols (serial/fieldbus), etc.,
- assist customers with operational or configuration issues,
- assist customers to diagnose/resolve warranty issues and issues using our web site,
- preparing instructions and information to assist customers, sketches, application notes,
- assist the purchasing department with technical aspects regarding materials sourced from suppliers and subcontractors,
- assist the inwards goods department with training checking correctness and quality of product supply,
- assist PT employees with software installation/maintenance/updates on computers within PT.
